— I'm not sure it's a matter of talent... I simply estarted copying her, and then I developed my eskills further, but if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have picked a brush in my life. —
As the conversation returns to a less novel event, the vampire continues his piece, >>
“I figure you inherited that talent from her…” Gazing upon the fine details of the work… why yes, this is really, really beautiful… Adrian’s lips parted in an oval shape… yes, he can tell that Lorenzo has been painting for all of his life…
Still nervous at the begging, the vampire's mind seems calmer with each secure step towards shadow.
Once they arrive, the man lets out a relieved sigh, taking a moment to breathe in peace.
— Thank you so much, both of you. I think if it were for me, I'd have estayed under >>
Mo's gait isn't extremely fast - he sort of waddles at first, but his grip is steady so there's not a lot of swap. In fact, it's a fairly nice stroll, until they get to the bigger areas of shade.
"There, see? Not so bad." Krill jabs, but he means it kindly.
Krill was so confident in his partner that the feeling stuck to the vampire, smiling slightly, even if still tense.
— Alright then! The less I think about it, the faster we'll be done with it! — Then he got close to the mole man, making sure he was in the perfect spot.
By the time Lorenzo has finished talking, Mo has the umbrella in his paws and holding it angled for Lorenzo.
"Mo will be fine." Krill reassures, climbing to Mo's shoulder. "Let's make haste, shall we?"
— I'm taller than Mo and... Would he be okay with that? Can he do it? It's a bit of a walk, and I don't think he'd be too comfortable holding the umbrella with his arm all the way up. — As he spoke, the artist gestured the whole thing, even stretching his own arm to >>
"Mo could carry it, if you like." Krill offers. Out of respect, they try to avoid contact with Lorenzo in hopes it won't make him withdraw more.
"I don't see any other parasols or umbrellas from here, so we may not be able to make a chain to the treeline..."
Once Ichor expands his little haven, Lorenzo finally drops the broken parasol, sighing in relief.
— Thank you so much... At least I can finally stop grabbing onto the stick. — Mentally exhausted, the man drops onto the sand, with little to no regard for any of it >>
[ She nods , stepping away momentarily to destroy some abandoned beach setups and aquire him some more shade . Unceremoniously dragging two of them behind her , she returns and stakes them poorly in the ground surrounding the poor suffering painter . ]
" There ! "
— Thank you. It still needs a lot of work, but it's encouraging to see it take shape. — He took the small talk as an opportunity to rest, analysing his work with the god.
— I've been drawing since almost my infancy. I got really into it in my teens-... My grandmother used >>
“I’ve been here… ahm, not for very long at all. It’s… very beautiful so far.” Blue eyes moved between Lorenzo and the canvas… smiling slowly. “…ahm, how long have you been keeping to painting?”
— That would be very sweet of you! Although I don't know if I'll still move despite having an umbrella... — He sighed, still feeling pretty attached to the parasol.
— I don't usually go out when the sun is out, not even with tools like umbrellas or parasols... I'm too scared >>
"Then we'll take the umbrella over there for you, yes? And by we I mean, Mo - but you get the idea." Krill says, and tilts his head.
"It's the least we can do. None of us are built for this heat..."
— There seems to be an abandoned resort not too far away, but... — Lorenzo's sight drifts to the scorching sand, immediately tense.
— I haven't moved from here since we arrived. I-... Don't dare going beyond, I don't want to burn myself. —
Mo says nothing, predictably.
"Apologies. We're... sewer and tunnel dwellers. It's a bit too hot. Perhaps we can look for one of the buildings?" Krill asks, wiping sweat from his brow.
He sighs, calmer after securing the shade. Like Ichor, he looks around.
— That would be helpful... At least until the light goes away or I feel brave enough to traverse the sand. —
" Ouf , jumpy . "
[ She looks around for something that could possibly help in this situation . Towels and chairs suspiciously left behind and a few similar parasols scatter the sandy shoreline . ]
" I could grab you more of these umbrellas . "
He is. Lorenzo has always been more adept at painting rural landscapes, so something more modern would be an interesting practice.
— Oh, hello! — He greeted Adrian, turning lightly. — How long have you been here? I didn't hear you. —
Well, now there are three adults under a single parasol, two of them furred and the other with a heavy coat on him. Yes, what an excellent combination.
— This might be... a little tight for us three, but I don't mind sharing! The issue is... this horrendous heat... —
Mo seems to simply... appear, clearly here because he wants to use Lorenzo's shade. Krill is here, too, and they both look... a bit miserable. You'd figure they'd be enjoying the weather, but it seems a little too hot for their tastes...
— I think I didn't need to know the especifics but I appreciate the heads up... — You always go to bed learning something new, or so they say.
— Absolutely not! I'd need my head outside, and I don't want to be helpless buried under the sand... imagine if anyone removes >>
" Granted , the only occurence of a vampire dying of heat that I know of was one boiled alive in 1836 by a coven who believed they could extract her " dark essences " by treating her like mashed potatoes , but still . "
She examines his outfit . He definitely does not 𓈓
the shade! — The plausible scenario only made the man... grab the pole even tighter, and so the thing started bending to one of the sides; its metal yielding and starting to break.
— AH! — He rushed, grabbing the upper half quickly on his feet and hands. Not a >>
