Her heart rate sped slightly, hammering in her chest. She had been so careful.
❝ You must be mistakin sir. ❞
She smiled nervously at him and quickly attempted to walk away. His wallet safe in her pocket.
❝Your cheeks are red.
❝Perhaps have you seen my wallet, or taken it?❞
He added in the snide comment with a slight hint of a snark in his voice. Did she really think that she would be able to take without him knowing.
A barely noticeable crimson dusted her cheeks as she slipped the wallet silently into her back pocket. She loved British accents.
❝ Of course not, I'm not that accident prone. ❞
Moriarty smirked as he noticed her tense arms and the clear signs of lying that she displayed but instead he decided to play along.
❝That's alright love, as long as you don't hurt yourself.❞
He tried to smile kindly back at her to replace the menacing smirk.
As he turned, her hand expertly found its way into his pocket of his slacks to retrieve his wallet, to be more inconspicuous she bumped into him.
❝ Sorry! I'm horribly clumsy. ❞
She apologised and hid the wallet behind her back.
