#AntimicrobialResistance (AMR) threatens to send the world back into the era before antibiotics and other antimicrobials, when a routine infection could be deadly.
Addressing AMR, and preventing its further spread, requires leadership from all Member States, accountable stakeholders, and sustained financial support.
Ahead of the #UNGA high-level meeting, I thank communities, health workers, youth organizations, parliamentarians, the private sector and the people directly affected by drug-resistant infections for joining yesterday’s multi-stakeholder hearing.
By working together, we can chart a clear path towards a safer world for all.
I'm thrilled to share that I have been selected as a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow (@GuggFellows) in the category of Medicine and Health! I'm so grateful to the Guggenheim committee & to the Eleanor Schwartz Charitable Foundation for underwriting my fellowship.
