Bletchingley, the delightful little village with a historic past set in beautiful Surrey Countryside & an AONB. With so much going on - follow us for updates.
Selected from over 1000 entrants into the festival, the Gala Showcase brings together a mix of amazing talents from a range of places. Both pleased & humbled to be asked to sing one of the songs from our category winning performance, we enjoyed an amazing night filled with music
Great cause for celebration. The manhole cover has been fixed - it only took 9 weeks. Feels like Attenborough was a toddler when the works order got issued! The village is just a little quieter this morning.
There’s a noisy manhole cover in the high street. Every time a vehicle goes over it there’s a loud metallic sound. How long will it last before it breaks/opens up as a pothole?
Competition was tough with some fabulous choir performances but … we only went & won!
We’re so very proud of the choir for working hard on the two pieces we performed last night. Winners well deserved. Huge thanks & congratulations to @philippaberry our leader.
A superstar 🌟
The stage is set & the choir is ready. It’s time for us to perform at the fabulous Reigate & Redhill Music and Drama festival, our favourite night of the year. See you later @rr_fest#Bletchingley#Community#choir

We’re back tomorrow having had a slightly late start to the term. Before we sing we have our steering meeting.
We'll review last year, we'll look at what we’re singing, we'll talk about the 2026 events then open the floor to hear comments, ideas & opinions from members. #choir
Pot holes growing in quantity and in size. Corkers currently on Sandy lane and on the A25 diversion coming into Godstone (B2236 Eastbourne Road opposite road closures). Fix them please @TandridgeDC#surreyhighways
Progress towards local government reorganisation transition ➡️
Last year, government decided Surrey’s county and district & borough councils should reorganise into two new unitary authorities – West Surrey Council and East Surrey Council.
A key milestone in the reorganisation process has been reached, with some local councillors coming together for the first time as committees to lay the foundations for the transition.
The East Surrey Voluntary Joint Committee met on Thursday 15 January at the Surrey County Council office in Reigate, and the West Surrey Voluntary Joint Committee met on Friday 16 January at Woking Borough Council.
Both committees will now meet monthly and will rotate around their areas, until the shadow authorities are formed after the elections in May 2026.
Has Eliza & ‘The Guardians of Alders Shaw’ NIMBY considered the benefits of allowing new homes to be built in Bletchingley? Support & grow community/economy, keep the pubs alive, grow Church numbers, housing for local/young people, investment in facilities and much more. Maybe?
More festive singing this weekend🎄🎶✨
We will be providing some seasonal cheer through song while you enjoy the ‘Spirit of Christmas’ at Priory Farm in Nutfield / Redhill this coming Saturday. Come and join in with all the fun. #community#choir#spiritofchristmas#prioryfarm
