With the new restrictions in place, we're unable to offer takeaway from the pub. We have some cracking beers in the cellar & it would be a shame to waste them. So for the time being we will be offering a delivery service within 3 mile radius of the pub on Sat afternoons.
Local kids are carrying knives... 46yr old man stabbed in neck in Oxted has surgery as police arrest seven for 'attempted murder'.

With very little to do this Christmas what ideas can we share to inspire one another?
I'll start, during your next bit of 'exercise', walk down a footpath or bridleway you've not explored before.
@MCNeilMunday Sorry to hear that. We have the same heartache.
Continue enjoying our countryside - that's the serious bonus of where we live during this rubbish time.
@MCNeilMunday @santadios The kids share it without personal effect and the boomers continued socialising, catching it and became the statistics. It's obvious which generation should be in lockdown and it's certainly not the children.
Does anyone provide a clearer picture than @MailOnline? The gov/ media have attempted to frighten Britain (personal risk of death) into compliance but in reality Lockdown is solely about saving the elderly and infirm. #Lockdown#COVID19#CovidVaccine https://t.co/TbjnVTUs33
We urgently need an overhaul on how the justice system deals with road violence.
- Downed 8 vodkas
- Hit cyclist + killed her unborn baby
- Failed to stop
- Already had 12 pts but claimed “exceptional hardship”
- 46mph in 30 zone
- Just 18 months in prison

Fantastic news. Well done. We need to apply the learning to the incessant road building & quarrying in Surrey too. Out of interest how many wind turbines (& years operating) would need to be created onsite to replicate the energy not 'dug up'? Seek planning on the site for those?
@pdfbt40 @IanWoodley6 @LDRSurrey@SDPSouthEast Our nation's reliance on any natural gas (whether domestic or imported) is now understood as retrograde, damaging and prehistoric - in itself it's a flawed arguement. The climate and people's health can no longer tolerate such spin and certainly not for the next thirty years.
There's no place like #Home. The wonderful sketchbooks of Surrey artist Ernest Christie (1863-1937) include these house and cottage interiors in Bletchingley, Crowhurst and Oxted from 1898 to 1901 (SHC ref 6784) https://t.co/MuK9Oc2EPD

A new approach to road funding (see below) is needed. But should also include freight, to drive a shift to local, and from road to rail freight.
Research has found an HGV levy could support a 50% increase in rail freight. See https://t.co/mEUyF7oLXq
