It maybe April fools day but Britian’s food security is no joke 🍞📷

The Farming Forum's Clive Bailye reacts to reports that more than £530m is being sent to overseas farmers by the UK Government.
@TomABacon Most likely land is rented out on long term agreements to ‘family farm’ tenants like your friend who could see their farms and business carved up by IHT liabilities of the landlord which is the unfortunate knock on of this policy.
@TomABacon@boconnorchest Apparently labour has secured £60b of overseas investment in 4.5 mths if taxed at 20% that would generate £12billion covering £5-£7b Scrap IHT & use tax on profits to fill the black hole
@GBNEWS In my immediate farming area I can’t think of any family farms that won’t be affected by this without very carefully planned succession and 7years of luck. This will hurt many at their most vulnerable times
@NotFarLeftAtAll £60 billion in 4.5 mth potentially £12 billion of tax at 20%. Only another £10 billion to fill the so called £22b black hole so job done in another 4 mth.
What a load of crap he talks.

@RBoldan@arableventures We’ve tried something similar with a front hopper but experienced a lot of back pressure. Used the front fan to feed the rear drill so seed and feet mixed. Any advice welcome.
