@DiscordPreviews What do we do with Discord K-id's ToS/Policy being unreadable for anyone outside UK/Australia?
Non UK/Australia users are targeted but the ToS/Policy is Legal English Only, no DE/FR/Spanish/other options, and all relevant info is UK/Australia related. (as checked yesterday)
@agraham999 @opensea Like, that stuff is recognized as something of value, right? Like, if someone steals a painting or jewellery, or valuable papers?
Or is it like, no crime because they should have done their due diligence before investing? I wonder what OpenSea ToS says about this-
..oh wait ๐
@agraham999 Actually, Im curious: CAN you go to cops with this? Like, obv not at my place, or in Europe, but @opensea is a US company, and some of those people are US citizens. And their securities, worth thousands of dollars, were stolen.
...I mean, those were declared securities, right?
@Dragonrod_Art@opensea Yeah, they quit answering my emails in December & Jan. too. Cant tell if they blacklisted my 2 email addresses or just genuinely dont give a ๐ฆ because I sent too many emails with "hi its me again take XXX down plz" as subject ๐
Atm guess we gotta wait for someone in USA to sue
@TheEmuEmi This person hit same block :/
https://t.co/4YK4jJuFf6
I guess they saw how art stealing accounts manage to do it and not get sued, like on OpenSea, and are trying to pave a way for similar mass-stealing page, so if this & hitpiece dont get taken down its gonna be a norm now๐
@TheEmuEmi Yeah, they do this to everyone now. Im just waiting for another page like that that also adds "we keep bloking fake twitters demanding takedowns! if ur real musician phone us!!!" on their mainpage or something now ๐
They're feeling safe bc they know no one has the money to sue๐ฅฒ
Apparently this is what "good and proper NFT market pages" should do now if someone sends them a takedown notice or "stop selling my music" request:
https://t.co/4YK4jJuFf6
If this trend of "send a DMCA lol" and "imma just block u" replies continues, it WILL become a norm๐
Also๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝfor anyone in USA with lawyer access:
Please DO check this angle as an alt move to DMCAs! OpenSea and such being๐SALES MARKETPLACES๐ & as such you could try treating NFTs with your works used as "market allows an asset type to be sold for a price" https://t.co/32aExXGADD
OS is big & other companies look up to them for "what is OK and what is not" & even Twitter acknowledged them as the Central NFT Authority via the new avatar option.
If they do this it means its apparently OK, & screw both artists & NFT buyers I guess?
https://t.co/Q605qihTew
@agraham999 @opensea I guess @opensea refusing to reply to people just kinda legitimized the "dont reply/block/label as hater" any kind of takedown/DMCA/stop-selling-our-stuff move people may have now for fraudulent NFTs :/
@agraham999 @opensea And now other pages/services do the same, like the most recent music theft pages hitpiece and nftmusicstream.
...though the last one just blocks everyone who tries to send a takedown bc apparently that's OK to do so now???
