@cesaralvarezll This was probably made with a real game engine, making it quite a bit harder to make with just ai.
Would have too many performance issues otherwise
if codex had the UX of claude code, nobody would use claude code.
GPT-5.2 high and extra high write infinitely better code, but the product "feels worse" to use bc it doesn't have the same feedback loop as cc
guy who made so much money he hasn’t had a job in years thinks we’re all doomed in the next 2 years
all your friends from high school who have work tomorrow are drinking bud light and sports betting $15 today and its the best day of their lives
Did I buy the Bitcoin bottom?
No.
Did I trade this breakout perfectly?
No.
But did I carefully buy enough spot Bitcoin in the last few months to allow me to relax and ride this trend without FOMO?
Also no.
After nearly 4 years, I’m spreading my wings and leaving Magic Eden. I joined as our 2nd hire, led marketing for the first 2ish years, served as your Solana GM, launched $ME & relaunched the community as my last hurrah.
I’m proud of building a best-in-class consumer crypto brand from scratch and showing up through rain/sunshine. When everyone’s X was bland, we entertained you. When people did mediocre happy hours, we threw yacht parties. At our best, we tried to be spicy and subversive to grow with you, because you were the same. We once pranked another marketplace by changing ALL their NFTs to a picture of our mascot because they were using our image CDN to save money…okay fine it was Tensor lmao (we can laugh about it now, chill).
People think working in crypto is hard but most of them have not spent their weekends / holidays fighting for marketshare on Cryptodickbutt or all the other ridiculous shit you guys minted. There were a lot of other really hard moments–I’m just happy to be alive to tell the tale.
I loved that NFTs were an explosion of Internet culture. Right now, crypto feels like a teenager wearing his dad’s suit – there’s so much focus on growing up (tokenized equities, stablecoins etc) but the trenches live for the non-serious. Some new asset or gamification layer that’s fun and accessible is going to catch fire – the pendulum always swings back.
Now, I'm embarking on a new chapter called “consulting with the homies” where I help my friends on go-to-market. I met so many amazing people through our horrendously ugly JPEGs. It’s about the friends we made along the way, right?
All I wanna do is work with people I trust and swim in a lagoon everyday at sunset in Puerto Rico. So imagine me doing just that – swimming off into the sunset.
luv yall.
