I am pleased to announce that @DMCCAuthority has signed an agreement with @EAK_Digital to bring @BlockDownConf to @UptownDubai in 2027, marking a significant milestone for the region’s Web3 ecosystem.

This followed a meeting with Erhan Korhaliller, Founder of @EAK_Digital, during @IstanbulBlockWk, where we discussed what this partnership means in practice.

Expanding into new markets requires more than ambition. It demands access to capital, robust infrastructure, regulatory clarity, and a supportive community that enables businesses to scale efficiently across borders. Dubai offers all of these.

By establishing a dedicated Web3 corridor between Istanbul and Dubai, we are creating a seamless gateway for Turkish Web3 companies and global innovators to grow their operations internationally.

The @dmcccrypto Centre is already home to the largest concentration of Web3, blockchain, and crypto enterprises in the region. Bringing a world-class, experiential event like @BlockDownConf to Dubai is a natural next step in strengthening our ecosystem, fostering cross-border collaboration, and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a premier global hub for digital assets and next-generation technology.

I look forward to welcoming the international blockchain community to Dubai in 2027 for what will be a landmark event.

DMCC has partnered with EAK Digital (@EAK_Digital) to launch BlockDown Dubai at Uptown Dubai in January 2027, bringing the global Web3 event series to the emirate for the first time.

The two-day event will take place at The Plaza on January 26 and 27, 2027, with organizers expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees from across digital assets, AI, fintech, blockchain, Web3 gaming, venture capital and financial services.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, @DMCCAuthority , said: “Digital assets, artificial intelligence, and blockchain infrastructure are moving from the margins into the core of the global economy. The next phase of growth will be defined by how effectively these technologies converge with capital, regulation, and international trade. DMCC has built the region’s leading technology community, home to one of the largest concentrations of Web3 companies in the Middle East. Through our partnership with EAK Digital to host BlockDown Dubai at Uptown Dubai, we are creating a premier platform that connects founders, investors, and institutions at the centre of this transformation.”

EAK Digital founder and CEO Erhan Korhaliller said Dubai “sits at the intersection of capital, technology and global ambition, and partnering with DMCC gives us the platform to build what we intend to be the defining Web3 event brand in the region. January 2027 is just the beginning."

The announcement gives DMCC another platform to promote Dubai’s growing digital asset ecosystem, which includes more than 800 Web3 companies within a wider technology community of more than 4,000 firms.
