⚡ Market Intelligence by Block Scholes #10: Is Price Really Probability?
🎯 A prediction-market price can look like the probability of Bitcoin hitting a certain level.
🛡️ But for financial contracts that act like binary options, that price can instead represent the cost of hedging the position.
🔍 Andrew, Head of Research, and Cody, CTO at Block Scholes, explain the distinction.

🎙️ Block Scholes x @InvezzPortal | Why HYPE stood out during the crypto sell-off
📉 Despite broader weakness across digital assets, @HyperliquidX has been a notable relative outperformer.
💡 In this clip from Zero Sum, our CEO Eamonn Gashier discusses why that resilience may reflect something more fundamental: Hyperliquid’s ability to address genuine market demand across crypto, commodities, equities and tokenised real-world assets.

📊 Block Scholes Risk Appetite Index | 10 August 2026
Risk appetite has turned higher, with Ether the first of the majors to cross into positive territory while Bitcoin and Solana remain below zero. The shift follows Friday's weak US jobs report, which lifted risk assets broadly — the S&P 500 set a record and Bitcoin reached a fresh August high near $65,300.

Great report from @BlockScholes on the renaissance of onchain options.
And great to see @CallPutApp included among the new generation of onchain options venues. 🙏
One point especially resonated with us:
Options shouldn’t be limited to crypto.
At CallPut, we’re bringing stock options onchain with markets such as $TSLA, $NVDA, $COIN and $SPCX, and building toward a simple place for anyone to trade equity options onchain.
Perps brought directional trading onchain.
Prediction markets brought probabilities onchain.
We believe stock options are next.
Thanks to the Block Scholes team for covering CallPut and the broader revival of onchain options.

📊 Block Scholes Risk Appetite Index | 7 August 2026
Risk appetite has continued its gradual recovery, led by Ether, though all three majors remain below zero. Today's July jobs report was a clear downside surprise — US payrolls fell by 23,000 against forecasts for an 83,000 gain — reversing the firmer labour-market signals seen earlier in the week.

⚡ Market Intelligence by Block Scholes #09: Options vs. Prediction Markets
🪞 They may look different, but both markets can describe the same underlying risk.
🧮 In theory, vanilla option prices can help price binary outcomes. In practice, liquidity and market inefficiencies can make them diverge.
🗣️ Andrew, Head of Research, and Cody, CTO at Block Scholes, explain what traders can learn from comparing the two.

US data today pointed to a resilient labour market: weekly jobless claims held at 199,000, a third straight week below 200,000. Fed Governor Lisa Cook said she sees inflation as the greater risk to the outlook, and the dollar strengthened against the major currencies.

Gold has risen to record highs, with the rally largely attributed to investors seeking safety as President Trump's tariffs disrupt global trade. Bitcoin has risen alongside it. The next major economic release is the US jobs report on Friday.

Yesterday's July ISM manufacturing surprised firmly higher — 55.6 vs 53.9 expected, a four-year high, with factory hiring turning positive for the first time in almost three years. Focus now shifts to Friday's July jobs report (7 August) and July CPI next Wednesday (12 August) — the labour and inflation reads that frame the Fed's 15–16 September decision.
