@HoosierHystrcs You can't give Woody year 4, have it fail and expect to get Sisley, Mullins or Harrelson. They are juniors and most likely will commit in November. I'm not sure you can even convince them we have turned the ship around by November of 2024 even if we are miracously better.
@HoosierHystrcs Did the staff really need to lose Queen to decide "hey, we need to go get 2-3 shooters". We haven't been a good shooting team since Crean coached. Bottom line, this staff doesn't know how to build a roster to win in college today.
@HoosierHystrcs Losing Queen isn't a surprise, but not getting a guard commit since Cupps committed over 2 years ago is criminal. And should result in his dismissal. Guards win in college basketball and we don't have quality guards. Just watch the guard play from top 10 teams.
@J_mcknz@Rick_Sports10 Apparently I don't. Can you cite another example of a coach being BANNED for two years without so much as a hearing? And without committing a crime? All coaches should be a little concerned about this precedent.
Maybe some punishment was warranted, but this looks bad.
Great weekend for a group of southwestern Indiana athletes. Bloomfield, Shakamak, North Central, and South Knox all represented. 15 U Great Lakes Select Showcase Champs!
Bombers 17U, comprised of several SWIAC boys, sent this coach out with a 'ship. Could not be more proud of this group. Great kids, great parents, great memories. 8 years went by too fast.
I can rest easy at night knowing that I treated all my players fairly and did my absolute best to rebuild this program from the ground up with the support of those I've named.
This evening I submitted my resignation as head coach. I want to thank Jeff Gibboney for hiring me. I also want to thank my Asst. coaches for their help these past four years. Most importantly, I want to thank my wife and father for their help in rebuilding this program.
I told anyone who would listen when I took over this program that I was going to run it the right way or I wouldn't run it at all. So, as of tonight, I'm no longer running the program. I'm not getting into specifics. Other than to say this.
