I said it was going to in my last post.
Here we are.

A 2-year-old is dead in Frankfort, Illinois.

Tuesday police found the child unresponsive. CPR failed.
Pronounced dead.

They found the mother in the same house trying to kill herself. She’s in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are calling it a “domestic-related homicide.”

That’s the part that should stop the conversation.

Instead, a neighbor goes on camera and talks about how devastated and scared she is… for the mother’s suffering.

“Someone could be suffering potentially so badly next door and we don’t know that.”

The public reaction is already pivoting to the mother’s pain and a lecture about checking on your neighbors.

We’ve seen this script.

Lindsay Clancy killed her three children, then tried to kill herself.

Half the country immediately started talking about her mental health, her “suffering,” her postpartum struggle....anything except the three small bodies in the basement.

Now another mother.
Another dead child.
Another self-harm attempt.
Another neighbor sounding more heartbroken for the adult than the 2-year-old.

The copycats don’t even have to wait for the trial verdict anymore. The sympathy script has been written before the atrocity has occured.

A child is dead.
That is the story.
Everything else is a distraction.

The judge is now reading them a Tuey-Rodriguez charge, and will send them BACK to deliberate again

Here's what a Tuey-Rodriguez charge entails, as read by the judge:

- Absolute certainty cannot be expected.

This is so sad. We are seeing it here in the US too with churches being burnt down. To try and say no one knows who is doing this is naive. We know who is doing this and that they've done this throughout history.

We’re only eight months into 2026.

And already,

19 temples and shrines in Japan have been lost to fires.

One of them, Seianji Temple, is said to have been founded in 931 and had nearly 1,100 years of history.

It was a place of prayer that local people had protected for generations.

And then,

it was lost in just a few hours.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Was it arson, or was it an accident?

I want the cause of this fire to be thoroughly investigated.

Even so,

it feels like fires at historic shrines and temples are happening far too often this year.

Buildings and cultural heritage that have been passed down for hundreds, even thousands of years can never be brought back in exactly the same form once they are lost.

Once again,

it feels like another small piece of Japanese history has disappeared into the flames.

And that makes me incredibly sad. 🇯🇵😭

She drowned those three too.

Same house. Same bathtub. Same excuse. Six dead children because a system treated a child killer like a patient who just needed time.

That is the whole argument. Not “was she sad.” Not “did she hear voices.” What happens after you let them out, and who pays for it the second time.

Lindsay Clancy strangled her three kids. People are already writing her a sympathy card and calling prison cruel. Cruel is three little bodies. Cruel is doing it once and getting a path back to freedom. Cruel is pretending history didn’t already run this experiment and lose six kids.

Mental illness can explain how someone gets there. It does not give you a free murder. It does not entitle you to more children. And it does not require the rest of us to wait around and see if the next round dies too.

If you kill your kids, you don’t get to be a mother again. You don’t get a soft landing and a second family. Life without parole. Lock the door. Stop experimenting on other people’s children and making excuses.

Convict her. Convict those who harm children. Period.
