I think it highly depends in what order u did the quests
Cause yes if u started with the pavlina quest, it's easy to see why traveler was against what she was doing cause from traveler's pov , Pavlina was essentially killing part of their friend over and over again

Just finished the Eye of Graeae questline and I don't think I've ever before come out of a quest unable to sympathize with the traveler's actions as much as this time. Anyways we won but at what cost...
