Last night's snap of Saturn through a break in the clouds. The moon of Tethys can be seen in transit across the northern (bottom) hemisphere here.
Reasonably good conditions from inside the calm 'eye' of a low pressure system currently over the UK.
569 hrs. 147 nights. 3 years. All from a Bortle 8–9 backyard.

#Mars, Phobos and Deimos last night under good conditions. A great view of Valles Marineris, with high altitude clouds (and their shadows) also visible on the terminator at right.
@tw__astro With the seeing you normally get in your area I think we all will be amazed soon if not yet. Congrats on the new scope and this outstanding image Tom!
#Mars last night with my new 24" #telescope, and oh boy does it perform!
Fantastic views of the northern polar cap and Valles Marineris, despite the planet still being some 120M km distant. A high altitude cloud can also be seen past the terminator line.

Last night's backyard view of #Jupiter & Io. Thanks to the exceptional conditions, detail within the GRS can be seen without any further processing.

A belated image of #Saturn captured on 30th August. I've finally got through the backlog of data captured on Friday!
Good seeing conditions with some ring spokes visible on the eastern ring. #astrophotography#telescope
#Saturn on July 19th https://t.co/5lxFpIzr7O Some very good conditions yesterday morning for Saturn. Some faint spots can be seen on the planet but otherwise all is very quiet. C14 with Saturn M-SQR. LRGB. 75min total time.
A lunar occultation of #Saturn will occur tomorrow. This will be visible across the Indian Ocean, India, Asia and Japan. Hopefully some will have good weather to catch this event. Start time: July 24th, 18:27 UTC. End time: July 24th, 22:27 UTC. Good luck!

A close-up of Sunspot Region 13685 captured on Monday. I ended up imaging all day chasing the seeing and this was the best moment - just 150 frames (1.1s) stacked. #sun#astrophotography#telescope
Cometa 12P/Pons-Brooks el día 5 con una cola muy desarrollada y una desconexión en el centro. Dentro de la coma verdosa puede verse un chorro en espiral enroscado alrededor del núcleo delatando su rotación.
