Apologies for spoiling the morning for so many on Twitter. BUT:
UK economy is now bigger than before the Covid-19 crisis. Indeed UK growth higher than Germany and France, new revisions to official data reveal.
GDP 1.8% per cent larger than final months of 2019 (ONS). Britain’s GDP reached its pre-Covid size way back in the final months of 2021.
So much for being worst performing economy in the G7, which is actually Germany, whose economy is about the same size as before the pandemic. UK has also outpaced France, post-pandemic.
UK growth still nothing to write home about. But that's true of almost every major economy post-pandemic.
As I say -- apologies. I know how much this will upset so many of you. But cheer up. The weekend beckons .

Disgraceful situation. Or would be if it was the whole story. If Vlasic wants sympathy he should tell the whole story inc why & how Torino are trying to get him on the cheap. #Moyes treated him very badly but if Torino paid the agreed price he'd be in Italy by now. #WestHam #COYI

Hammer Nikola Vlasic has been directly quoted by Tuttosport.

And also, that my own family never wants to go back to live in England. And also, that I’m not interested in evaluating other market hypotheses, if ever there were. Your behaviour is incomprehensible. I know that Torino has already offered you €9m for a long time, an important figure, respectful of my value and your needs. But you don’t intend to negotiate with Torino, you repeat that it’s not enough, but you still don’t communicate to the Italian club what the right figure is, in your opinion. I’m worried: I will continue training with great seriousness, but it cannot go on like this.’
