Thanks to @KateWelshofer and @wgrzMichael for having me on @WGRZ Town Hall tonight to talk Black Friday. Here’s the segment. (Be nice, I was terrified) https://t.co/JG3pNlALni
@hillarydixler@BuffaloFood Take the extra money that would’ve been spent on alcohol and tip the delivery driver... many front of the house workers that are going to be laid off with no income may find themselves as delivery people for the next 8-10 weeks
@hillarydixler@BuffaloFood I see your vision but still find it hard to believe the governor will overturn SLA laws (which are very hard to navigate and change)... wine shops and liquor stores already have the full ability to deliver if they choose.
@hillarydixler@BuffaloFood I get that. it is not legal in NYS and I can’t imagine the government will ease those laws. there is a clear distinction between on and off premise licensing for competitive reasoning. I want restaurants to thrive in this tough time as well but not if it effects local wine shops
Erie County will be checking to make sure bars comply with reduced capacity standards imposed due to concern over the spread of the novel coronavirus, County Executive @markpoloncarz said today: https://t.co/ki8FwTiBgg
@jamcm@repblumenauer It will NOT actually. American wineries are required by law to have distribution channels throughout the USA. the tariffs will destroy most of them and Oregon wineries will ultimately suffer. #tariffied https://t.co/1QPAxNDpy3
@OfficeSmallBiz Hmmm probably the biggest thing I've noticed is the constant need to change to your complex business plan... as concepts or opportunities fail the plan needs to be revised to continue... I learned early on to show my plan to people I consider successful.
@OfficeSmallBiz@DiscountDivaSam Wow! I could write a book on navigating a very regulated import business! In fact there really is only one book (that I know of) on the subject and because each state controls their own liquor laws it tends to be pretty vague at times...
