@EcclesiaRocks You're really close with this idea. You should place the cipher O over the x on Mt Diablo. You should make sure the O in the cipher is the same size as the O on the map. Don't rotate. Just keep more of the letter involved when you overlay. Look where the word car finishes. Part 1

@luigi_warren I think the solution is much more obvious. You follow the Donner Pass road from Lake Tahoe to the top of the nearby Mount Lincoln. From there you align the Lincoln stamp with the top of the mountain and the punch hole should will line up with the location you're looking for.
