Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center will be closed for at least two days due to a broken filtration system pipe in the pool pump house this morning. Public Works staff members were in the pump room backwashing the pool when the line failed. The city has contacted a pool repair
team members were in the pump house when the pipe failed and fortunately were not hurt when this occurred. With the pipes being visible and easily accessible we anticipate a quick repair once the pool specialist company arrives.”
The Health Department officially completed their inspection around 6:30 PM this evening and gave the OK for our Grand Opening tomorrow, May 28th! The gates will open as scheduled at 12:00 PM.
