Mixed feelings about the term "ethnomathematics".
Sometimes it's used to highlight contributions to math culture. But sometimes I've seen it used (maybe unintentionally) to other the mathematicians and cultures that made those contributions. #mtbos #mathhistory

Identify equivalent but not simplified expressions?
Useful skill but still concerned it might make someone waste time debating if the scorer expects answer not listed or 16-4^i.

@bowenkerins @cmmteach Yea I was thinking similar. This is one of those questions that even someone who understands it mathematically will be confused by what they think the creators/scorers are expecting.

I think presentations or slides should be created with the idea of low floor and high ceiling similar to good math problems. Better to avoid slides with a wall of text but provide space for participants to access that information as needed.
