@nyjetshistory@BillsandBach@showtimehcky@thesportsgully The Bills played six regular season games in Toronto from 2008-13 trying to engage their Canadian fanbase. By comparison, the Green Bay Packers played 177 regular season games in Milwaukee. We Bills fans do love the technical semantics that we’re the only NYS team though.
@SneakyJoeSports Cool stats. But …
“Tampa Bay IS …”
Cities are singular.
Team names are plural (or should be even if they are singular, like Lightning.)
@RealityinSports@MattGouldtv Wrong. Expectations from one season to the next absolutely are relevant. Tampa is a perennial contender; Buffalo has been a doormat for years. That has to be considered. To say it shouldn’t be is disingenuous.
@BuffaloBills@AjayCybulski@97RockBuffalo@ChrisBrownBills@EWood70@SteveTasker89 Love Steve, no shade at him — but getting rid of Sal is disappointing and frankly just a bad move. Also - hopefully your new radio stations can be picked in the Southern Tier of WNY like WGR could. If not, a local station should be added.
@JeremyWGR Way more than Boston brought, but doesn’t seem even close to what Montreal usually brings in the regular season. Will be interesting to track game-to-game.
@travisyost Not just now but for a while - I hate the reactionary boards, but only when the road team scores - NO WAY, especially in the playoffs, even on a national telecast, should the boards “celebrate” when the road team scores. Home teams should demand that stop.
@ByMHarrington In general, I really dislike the “32-45 record” part of your take, and anyone else who does that (incl Schopp on WGR). No standings anywhere list it like that - that team is 32-26-19 (that 19 is insane tho). I look at the third column like the old ties.
@PatrickMoranTB Here’s my problem with your post … if Sabres do happen to lose what you just called a “dog fight” — we’re ahead of TBay in points, but with TB’s games in hand, behind in pts% — would that really mean they “blew it”?? Relax. That’s a bit too harsh.
@Matt_Bove What I think this stems from is the idiotic “second place is the first loser” attitude. I hate that. Sometimes a loss is just a loss - not always a “bad loss.”
@Matt_Bove Not every loss is a “bad loss.” It’s tough - do these two count as “points in 6 straight and 14/15” -OR- “back-to-back losses”? The answer is both. Only looking at “gave up a late lead” and not “trailed entering the third and took the lead” is bad too.
@ByMHarrington It’s super annoying, but we love it when Buffalo fans take over arenas and stadiums on the road. I see both sides - can’t blame season ticket holders for recouping much of their cost on a couple games, but I bet many wished they’d kept their tickets now that we’re doing well.
