@Rainmaker1973 There was a Foucault’s Pendulum in O Block, Benson Court in Magdalene College, Cambridge. The design of it was if I recall a challenge to First Year Engineers at the College.
@BushmanQPR Durbin & Allwright were my Grandad’s aunt and uncle - and his cousin ran the shop after the war. My Grandad had a Butchers @ 183 Uxbridge Road and was a QPR fan.

@SirStevoTimothy I’m 51 - I did O Level History - Britain 1832-1914, Europe 1848-1914. Loads of Irish history - the Corn Laws, the Famine, the Land League and Home Rule. No specific Scottish or Welsh history!
