Had an amazing chess club last night. Won two out of three - tied for first in my quad and qualified for the club championship held in December. Finally feeling some evolution and growth as a player #ChessPunks

@HighgroundChess @DoctorScull How would you rate the playability of their online server compared to chess com? The ICCF website looks straight out of 1997. It doesn’t look like they are putting much investment into web development.

@HighgroundChess @DoctorScull It’s an awesome option for me. I’ve been wanting to start getting into rated events but with two kids I just can’t justify the expense and time to do OTB tournaments.

@TheChessAngle I recall listening to Hans Niemann talking about how he studies for twelve hours a day and so many people thought that sounded amazing. But I’m more of the mind that I would be climbing the walls if I was told to sit down for twelve hours and do nothing but chess 😆

I blundered away a rook by walking into a knight fork but otherwise played a pretty clean game and kept my head in it.

Had a spectacular game at chess club. Fought back in the middle game to equality. Won an endgame with king and knight vs king and rook - five pawns on my side vs his three. Should have taken the time to record it. Still - feeling great as OTB is usually weak for me #ChessPunks

@seankellychess Imagine learning how to cook and occasionally, as you add the salt or some fennel, you hear a random disembodied voice saying, “that’s not the right idea.” Or missing a jump shot and immediately seeing -12 in big bright digits on the backboard.

@Bennyficial1 @GMJacobAagaard Loved the talk on the world championship. Magnus may end up proving to be the end of an era - just in terms of the romance and the luster of the title. The larger the game gets, the less it’s going to make sense to continue trying to crown one person as the champion.
