Visiting the National Mall is a walk in the park, but the distances can be deceiving. Walking from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and around the Tidal Basin adds up to several miles. Be sure to pace yourself in the heat, take breaks, wear sunscreen & drink plenty of water.

Drink water. Take breaks (in the shade). Dress appropriately. Try not to do things in the hottest part of the day. If you spend most of your time in AC, don't jump right into strenuous outdoor activities in the heat. Be aware that certain medications make you more heat sensitive!

You CAN acclimate to heat, but certain temperatures are still gonna be rough, and you don't acclimate overnight. One of the ways your body adapts is by sweating more. You need fluids and salts to replace that, and you also just need to be okay with sweat as a bodily function!

Would I offer? Yeah, probably!
You do not always have to pay to select seats (you just have to pay for the "better" ones). However, depending on the flight and your timeline, there may not be seats together that aren't "premium"
