September 5th’s game at Indiana will actually be the second time the Mean Green have opened a season against a defending National Champion.

North Texas began their 2006 campaign against Texas in what was Colt McCoy’s first collegiate start, taking over for Vince Young on the heels of the famous Rose Bowl win over USC.

Below was the Mean Green’s only touchdown in a 56-7 shellacking at the hands of the Longhorns.
