Loop 3 - 143km from Saldhana a 1:20 turnout is being installed. This 1:20 turnout, manufactured by voestalpine Railway Systems - VAE SA, is first assembled next to the track. Once the previous turnout has been removed a GEISMAR PEMLEM is used to place the turnout, consisting of two panels, in-track. New ballast, tamping and welding of rail follows.
