Group stage is the best stage. The tournament is young, summer is young. You’re inundated with an endless marathon of games. All the teams, including yours, are in so anything can happen. Once you get to the quarters you’re reminded that it will all be over soon and you’ll die
The group stage is the best part of every World Cup, everyone is around… all fans, multiple games in a day, chaos, more upsets, random blow outs, the vibes.
The knockouts are great but the group stage is without a doubt the best part of every World Cup.
Most of my guys sports group chats have gone from “Yeah I’m not interested soccer is dumb” to “we need to rest Pulisic and all guys sitting a yellow against Turkey.” in a span of 2 weeks.
Petar Musa’s World Cup journey came full circle in Dallas Stadium today.
A goal for Croatia, becoming the first FC Dallas player to score in a World Cup – and it was in his adopted home city.
Result aside, what a moment for a great player + person.

We have Italians discovering free refills,
Japanese discovering unlimited chips and salsa, and Germans road tripping the country becoming Ella Fellas.
In this USA 250 simulation, it’s quite simple, we’re winning the World Cup.
There is a lot of “Paraguay isn’t very good” talk. Full stop.
Under Alfaro, they lost just once in WCQ and went 9 straight without defeat. They beat URG, Brazil, & Argentina.
They were one of the best defensive teams in the 🌎.
Paraguay isn’t bad.
#USMNT made them look bad.
OMG, listen to the Mexican announcers on team USA's 3rd goal going completely off-script
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! "Oh my f*cking goodness" 😂
From start to finish, that was the most enjoyable day of soccer I’ve ever experienced. Thank you to the @USMNT for inspiring a nation and creating memories that will last a lifetime. And thank you to all the fans who showed up today…absolutely incredible. So grateful to have been there and can’t wait for next Friday 🇺🇸❤️⚽️🇺🇸❤️⚽️🇺🇸❤️⚽️
