Hi parents! Can you help your little people answer the last question. These need to be back before the end so they can go to their new teacher π€ͺπ€ͺ
This talk was about a month ago but I still think about it and action some of the #mindfulness, #empathy and #gratitude strategies that Hugh from @ResilienceP talked about. Even something as simple as letting someone in front of you in traffic works wonders! #phdchat#resilience
We had some legendary foundies come in today. They learnt some lines from our readers thereβs, and then helped with the recording as well! ππππππ
Today we are exploring readerβs theatre! Your little person will be taking the role of a character from the 3 Billy Goats Gruff, or the 3 Little Pigs. Ask them about their lines and their fluency! ππππππ
We have been learning about the Sonkgran festival in Thailand to celebrate the Thai new year. Here are some origami water balloons we will be using later this afternoon π¦π¦π¦
Hi parents. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the BBQ tonight at the grade 1 campfire. If you are available could you message me via Sentral so that I confirm numbers. Thanks π
Hey parents. Just a reminder to hop onto Sentral if your child is in grade 1 and give permission for the campfire tomorrow night! I'll also send a permission note home today. Thanks! π₯π₯π₯π₯ππ
Today in investigations, JR and EC explored some big celebrations coming up next week. We looked at Halloween and Day of the Dead. Fun times ahead! πππ»π»πΈοΈπΈοΈ @bnwps_unitEC
JR and EC had fun during investigations today. Our new Inquiry unit this term is focusing on celebrations; so we researched Chinese New Year. Students learnt about its history, alongside important symbols during the celebration. @bnwps_unitEC
10 days into term 4= 12 Dr. Seuss books! Each time we read a book we copy the front cover and stick it on our wall. We have really enjoyed reading these wonderful stories and exploring the language in them. The QR codeβs on the wall are a link to online books too! ππ
This is a great app available on iPad called Quick Maths. Students race against the clock to answer all the questions. They can then try and beat their time to get faster! This app uses the 4 operations to challenge students of all age and abilities. @BnwpsM
Yesterday JR learnt a very special Indonesian dance from the island of Sumatra. We had a lot of fun, thanks to everyone that came along. π²π¨π²π¨π²π¨π²π¨π²π¨π²π¨
Today our warm up in maths was a new game. We start with a blank hundreds chart and when you land on a number you need to fill in the box. If you land on a number that has already been filled in you get to have another turn! π²π²
