23yo female beach volleyball player has he of L abdominal tearing. She is able to play but feels increasing discomfort towards the end of each practice. She has been playing like this for months. Surgery and miss season or treat sx after each game/practice?
Pt comes in for eval: Pro BMX rider 8months s/p C7 fx and ACL reconstruction following crash. Reports radicular pain in L UE and pain/fullness in forearm while gripping and HR >50% of max but no fullness/pain when not gripping. C/S radic w/ vascular TOS or compartment syndrome?
28yo male baseball pitcher (L handed) s/p L UCL complete tear is able to throw at 100% effort and 93.5% of pre-injury velocity w/o any elbow pain. Maybe Tommy-John surgery isn’t always the way to go?
28yo male baseball pitcher w/ complete UCL rupture w/o reconstruction is able to throw at 97% of previous top speed for fastball. Will likely be able to throw 100% of previous top speed in a Gametime environment. His accuracy is still off. Will that improve to previous levels?
