An observation of just how far down the rabbit hole we are 6 years later: the wife of a sitting Supreme Court justice was questioned about her role in an effort to overturn our democracy - an effort which her husband refuses to recuse himself from - and it barely grabs headlines.
"Today's acquittal is an injustice. It points to the disorder in which we all live. As we seek to restore justice, so also will we restore God to God's rightful place at the center of our life together."

It’s the anniversary of the electric-chair execution of George Junius Stinney, Jr. in South Carolina in 1944. He was 14, weighed 95 lbs, and had to sit on his Bible for his head to reach the metal helmet of the electric chair. 70 years later, he was exonerated. Lord, have mercy.
Protect yourself and your neighbors – wear a mask, practice physical distancing and wash your hands. We all share the responsibility for creating a healthy society, as Martin Luther reminds us in his 1527 essay “Whether One May Flee From a Deadly Plague.”
Nobody should have to wait 11 hours to vote, but we’re all grateful that you—and all those in line with you—stuck it out. Keep making your voices heard, everybody. Our democracy depends on it.
