LTNs do not reduce CO2 & NO2 emissions. LTNs are #greenwash, based on the idea that some people are worth more than others so have the right to clean their air by polluting the air of others.

@BetterEaling Another reason why more cars use this street is to access the Temple. On days of celebration like today there is an influx of people coming to use the Temple to celebrate which is lovely.

@BetterEaling So whilst you may like to blame this snap shot in time on too many cars driving where they like the reality is there is a large demand for a valuable service here &unfortunately people who need to be driven to the clinic have no other option than circle around waiting for parking

@BetterEaling As a local near this street the main issue here is the vaccine centre. Obviously it is great we have one so close to us and fantastic people are using it but alot of people drive elderly patients and with limited parking people end up circling looking for somewhere to stop

I read that the hairdresser suffered really terribly from mental health issues after that

I know I bang on about it, but since the removal of Ealing LTNs it is absolute bliss in former LTN20. Walking to the station, there’s birdsong and not a single car in either direction in 2min 20 secs. Thank you. @_petermason @deirdrecostigan @RupaHuq @VirendraSharma

@Ealingelbow @carlafrancome @EalingCouncil @JeremyVineOn5 Jeremy Vine was in LTN21 after it was taken out, the street your little clip shows is Haslemere Road inside ex LTN21 filmed after it's removal. Are you a local? If you were you'd know this 😉 ps. Yes I'm very relieved the roads are now back to how they were as always traffic free

@Gibbons2Caitlin @_petermason @Ealing_Tories @EalingLD I truly hope the council did circulate this leaflet to the boundary roads. Do you think the Dean's/Montague filter will encourage active travel though? Is it not just a traffic calming measure for those roads and residents?

@Gibbons2Caitlin @_petermason @Ealing_Tories @EalingLD Did you receive confirmation from Boundary Rd residents that they received leaflets from the Council? It'll be interesting once the filter goes back in to see the true impact on Boston Rd & The Viaduct Junction, do you worry about the impact?

@_petermason @Ealing_Tories @EalingLD Another interesting point was Cllrs distancing themselves from Commonplace last night when questioned on the feedback they had received for Fishers Lane, @_petermason is this something they've been told to do? I believe they insuated Commonplace was not reliable, which seems odd

@_petermason @Ealing_Tories @EalingLD Also interestingly several Cllrs @P_DriscollW5W13 included were wary of using the word LTN, I suppose they realise its toxicity, be warned they will repackage LTNs using different words for the schemes, you may get a say on it but you'll have to figure out the terminology first

@_petermason @Ealing_Tories @EalingLD Repeatedly last night one of the Cllrs asked why Hounslow could carry out a Fishers Lane Consultation & Ealing couldnt? @deirdrecostigan fudged her way through an answer that made zero sense. Her & 1 other Cllr repeatedly said no one lives on Fishers Lane. Which is not true
