We had a strong week for Lighter infrastructure on Jun 1-7!

Some stats: highest number of orders processed over a 24 hour period (811M), maximum TPS of 20.7K, no latency spikes, with p99 latency at 165ms.

Proving costs under 100k, generated 1M in revenue (used for buybacks).

lighter is running $2m/month in token buybacks from protocol revenue, implying $2.4-4.8b in annual perp volume. they're pursuing CFTC DCM registration, same classification as CME. every major perp DEX either blocks US users or operates in gray zones. $0 in US derivatives volume flows onchain compliantly today. if lighter gets licensed, revenue multiples re-rate from 2-5x to 10-20x overnight because compliant US exchanges price completely differently than offshore protocols. if they don't, you're holding an illiquid governance token for a niche DEX. this is a 12-18 month binary regulatory event, not a trade. watch july and august buyback numbers to confirm revenue is structural

Lighter crossed $3B in trading volume today.

Till date, Lighter has generated around $1.66T in total trading volume. yeahh trillions.

And throughout that volume, the platform has generated around $54.55M in revenue, which shows just how much cheaper Lighter is compared to most other exchanges.

If you look at some of Lighter’s top traders, the numbers are honestly insane. Some have generated tens of billions in trading volume while paying little to no fees. One trader alone generated around $50B in volume while paying $0 in fees.

Lighter generated another $227K in revenue today.

And you know what’s interesting? This is already the second time this month that Lighter has set a new monthly revenue record. Yesterday it was around $209K, and today it climbed even higher to $227K.

I’ve said this before: when a product is genuinely strong, the difference between a bear market and a bull market becomes much smaller. Strong products keep growing regardless of market conditions.

And at the moment, $LIT is performing exactly like that.

I think next month we could be looking at even higher numbers from here because the team keeps shipping and improving the product every single day.
