Jim Phillips was the first @MRNRadio pit reporter who had been a crewman, working on and pitting race cars; and, he had radio broadcast experience in his hometown Newport TN.
That was a great combination of skill sets for us, and Jim was an excellent reporter. RIP, Chopper.
