Cancelled Cursor and the rest of the AI SaaS. Moved all 15+ Grok bots to OpenMaus. If it's not self-hosted or on https://t.co/VoST5vDvzs, I don't want it. Already swapped Cursor for Paseo. The villain arc is actually a frugality arc. @mausbot_
they've been non stop trying to attack our systems for the past 48 hours
a side effect is everything is getting hardened but damn we basically need agents going 24/7
because that's what they have
something that keeps bothering me is how some people see slop as something that is happening to them, like they're some kind of helpless bystander powerless to do anything about it
excuse me but you are a software engineer, you literally learned how to make sand think and make computers do your bidding?! and now you can't do anything about it? please
the 2 things you should know to cut through all the noise:
1. you need to give your agent a way to verify its own work (i just posted about this so won't rehash)
2. your codebase is memory
the 2nd is not new either, we have always had lint rules, compilers with good diagnostics and strong type systems, LSPs, etc to help us write better code. there is no difference when agents write the code instead, you just need more of them, and stronger ones.
forget rules and skills. you can add those later.
yes, your codebase is a form of memory to agents! agents love extending what already exists. so every nit and every annoyance you've ever seen, every mistake and bad pattern you observe from agents, needs to turn into a constraint, or the agents will just keep repeating those same mistakes like a virus in your code. then you keep observing and repeating this process until your codebase is locked down enough that even agents with little context can one shot a high quality PR.
an even better direction is to refactor/rewrite your code such that agent anti-patterns become categorically impossible. use type systems to your advantage, use libraries/frameworks that reduce the architectural search space, or heck, create your own framework like we did for grok bot and design high quality primitives and well thought out APIs

Tell 'em mam. I'ma be here minding my own. 🤣
@mathiasvrb@mausbot_ Today's day uno. Just now getting it all set up. Will report back tomorrow and so on throughout my timeline.
Got some other big alts I found to that we're worth a X post lol.

@theo so.. when you gonna allow custom endpoints? my ModelHitch api is just sitting there ready to go. let me plug it in and this becomes my main dev console
everyone on here: ship ship ship 🚀
nobody on here: what are you shipping. to who. why. does anyone want it. have you asked. no? cool so you're just yelling at a wall with a stripe link
Well, @Google / @googledevs :
As we see in the attached screenshot below this would be the second time you have flagged THIS account that was not created by a bot, that is my separate business account and this is the second appeal the first one you decided to let my precious business account live and now 30 days later you decided that what it's another bot account when I sent in an appeal.
And not to mention that this account that you flagged twice now not only has my Google AI pro subscription attached but also has my Google fi account attached — but sure definitely created by a bot.
This is not something I would expect from a company who has now recently decided to put a TPU in space.
I've been using Google since before I can remember, but now it looks like I'll be going over to @Microsoft.
I think you have a novelty problem.
Your main product https://t.co/xmcvmbhyCc is a vitamin with a free plan targeting indie hackers. Instead:
- Painkillers only
- No free plan, and charge high $$$
- Target outside of indie hackers; go B2B
If I may be direct, I'd kill that product today.
You've been at it for more than 1 year, and it makes $145/mo (based on your TrustMRR page). I respect the hustle, but to me it's a clear sign the market isn't answering.
Now I've looked at your other dozen projects and noticed something: Most of them could be vibe-coded in 24 hours.
If I can be even more direct, I'd completely change the strategy.
When @levelsio moved to Bali in 2017, it was WTF. That got him covered in mainstream media. Now it's normal to be a nomad.
When I launched 1 startup every month in 2022, it was WTF. That got me my first 10K followers. Now AI has normalized shipping fast.
In 2026, the winners won't be people shipping fast from Bangkok.
It will be people living outside the box. People building software we've never seen before.
AI made you a superhuman.
You can connect your fitness tracker with your calendar and your light bulbs and see what makes you tired or energized.
You can build a multiplayer game to make people go do stuff IRL like exercising or pushing code to gain XP.
You can find a cancer cure for your cat.
The possibilities are endless.
Build stuff that nobody has seen before. Ride novelty. It worked pre-AI and will work post-AGI.
I root for you, sir.
