Just another nail in the coffin of Confederation. Canada was built on Christianity, like all the West; the parliamentary system, the common law, the Magna Carta, are all Christian concepts
The beatitudes, honor your father and mother, do good to others, respect your wife, do not beat women, respect women, respect your neighbor's property, honor authorities, the rule of law, a fair justice system- these are all Christian concepts, the gospels.
There are almost 30,000 churches in Canada; we have hundreds of thousands of Mennonites and Amish in Canada, millions of evangelicals, plus Catholics and other mainline churches. We've had over a thousand years of Christianity. Christianity is a moral religion; it has always preached morality; that's not going to stop because of Carney, Trudeau, and the liberal, NDP parties
This law is designed to shut you up, keep your mouth shut, and affirm lifestyles that go against Christianity and morality. I suspect that Bill c9 will open the door to witch hunts.

In rural Afghanistan young boys are disciplined with corporal punishments and humiliation.

The "instructor" is using a thick, looped rubber strap to beat the children's hands. It is a common improvised tool for physical discipline due to the severe pain it inflicts without easily breaking like wood.

The "Ear-Holding" Position in the latter half of the video is called Goshmal. The boys are forced to cross their arms and pull their own ears while squatting. It is used by instructors to enforce strict compliance, absolute obedience, and to induce shame in front of peers.
