Sometimes we read about people in the Bible as if they were fearless, but they were human like us. Elijah reached deep despair. Job wished he had never been born. David poured out depression, grief, and loneliness in the Psalms. Moses battled fear and anxiety, feeling unequal to God’s call. Joseph was betrayed, abandoned, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison. Paul felt isolated, exhausted, and burdened beyond his strength. Yet none of their lowest moments ended their stories.

Maybe you’ve felt the same crying yourself to sleep, questioning your purpose, or carrying unseen battles. God has never been intimidated by a broken heart or weary soul. He met each of them in their darkest season, strengthened and restored them, and used what nearly broke them to reveal His power and faithfulness.

If you’re in a storm, don’t mistake this chapter for the end. The same God who sustained Elijah, restored Job, comforted David, strengthened Moses, elevated Joseph, and carried Paul is still working. Keep praying when it’s hard, trusting when you don’t understand, and worshipping before the breakthrough. God is not finished with your story; today’s chapter will one day become a testimony that helps someone else never give up.

When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. — Isaiah 60:22 🤍

The Bible is full of people who wondered if God had forgotten them. Noah kept building an ark before there was even a drop of rain. Abraham and Sarah waited decades for the son God promised, long after it seemed humanly possible. Joseph went from betrayal by his brothers to slavery, then prison, before God raised him to honor. None of those painful chapters canceled God’s promise they were part of the journey.

The Israelites stood trapped between the Red Sea and an army they couldn’t outrun. It looked like the end, until God made a path where there wasn’t one. Lazarus had been in the tomb four days when Jesus arrived. To everyone else, it was too late. But Jesus proved God’s timing isn’t limited by what looks impossible.

That’s why Isaiah 60:22 reminds us, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Some of the greatest miracles in Scripture happened after people thought all hope was gone. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing even when you don’t see change yet. The same God who parted seas, opened prison doors, fulfilled impossible promises, and raised the dead is still working today. Your situation may not change overnight, but when God says it’s time, nothing can stop what He has planned for you.

I am working on the things you’ve been worrying about and keeping you awake at night. I am going to restore your health, finances, relationships, and everything Satan has stolen from your life.

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, this morning I want to pray for us who are carrying more than anyone realizes. Those of us who look fine on the outside but feel like we’re barely holding ourselves together on the inside. Those of us who are tired not just physically tired, but mentally tired, emotionally tired, and spiritually tired.
Lord, I pray for us who feel like we have to control everything because life has taught us that if we don’t, things fall apart. Help us release the things we were never meant to carry and trust that You are still God even when we don’t have all the answers.

I also pray for us who are carrying heartbreak, disappointment, sadness, or silent struggles. Heal the places in our hearts that still ache. Remind us that this season is not our permanent address and that You are still working, even when we cannot see it.
For those of us who feel like giving up, remind us that surviving this far was not an accident. Replace our stress with peace, our fear with courage, our anxiety with trust, our depression with hope, and our heartbreak with healing.
Today, help us let go of what we cannot control and hold tightly to You, knowing that even when we can’t feel it, You are still present and still writing our story.

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, this morning we’re praying for those of us tired of carrying the weight of being on high alert all the time those whose minds never seem to slow down, who check, double-check, and triple-check everything because we learned to stay prepared for the worst.
Father, today we ask that You break the cycle of overthinking. Help us stop carrying responsibilities that belong to You. Remind us that we are not protected by our worrying; we are protected by Your hand.
Lord, some of us have been in survival mode so long that we don’t know how to rest anymore. We wake up already fearing what could go wrong, replay conversations, analyze people’s tones, and prepare for problems that haven’t happened. We stay tense, guarded, and exhausted because our minds constantly search for danger, even where You have provided safety. Today, help us trade hypervigilance for faith, fear for trust, and survival mode for the abundant life You promised. We surrender every anxious thought, every worst-case scenario, and every burden we’ve been carrying.
