Gordon is often overlooked in the "all-time greats" conversation, but he is in rarefied air considering he's the only driver in history to have won at Indy, won a @WilliamsGrove National Open, won supermod races at @OswegoSpeedway and a sprint car race at @EldoraSpeedway
INDYCAR is deeply saddened to learn of Gordon Johncock's passing.
The 1976 series champion was known for his hard-charging, no-nonsense style that led him to two Indy 500 victories and 25 wins. "Gordy" was 90.
If you donโt follow dirt racing and only know Spire from NASCAR, they are scooping up some INCREDIBLE talent on the short tracks and building quite a fleet across several disciplines ๐๐
An addition to our full-time dirt fleet.
@Nick_Hoffman2 will drive our No. 7 dirt late model starting later this year at The Gateway Dirt Nationals.

Awesome for Ryan, and also awesome to see Carson Kvapil almost get his third win in a row. He and Rodney Childers are going to be dangerous in the Chase.
Had the pleasure of producing this great interview with @jeff_gluck and @KyleLarsonRacin. I appreciate what Kyle says here. His insight is invaluable in the sense that heโs competed against more professional racers in different classes than any other driver.
NASCAR fans might not realize just how much talent is in sprint car racing. ๐

Another incredible storyline to follow from the short tracks: @BobbyPierce32 dynasty run over the last few seasons. He and @bsheppb5 are electric when on track together
@DCONN24 The message and perceived tone are both incredibly obtuse. I canโt tell if this is all satire or not but you seem to continue doubling down on some really ill-informed takes.
@RStevens136 They really were, along with Wolfgang and Schatz. I only say he moonlights because he doesnโt run full-time sprints these days, only like 20 or so shows a year
I think it's nights like these where a lot of the dreaded "he's the best racer in the world" conversations stem from, but regardless of where you fall on that debate, there is simply no other driver on Earth who can do something like this.
