58 years ago today, The Jimi Hendrix Experience's "Electric Ladyland" was released.

Don't lose your cool, it's Albert Collins' birthday today!
One of the most ferocious players you ever heard, and one of the best friends that Antone's ever had. The Ice Man's influence and impact are so immense, it's hard to imagine modern blues or rock 'n' roll without him.

Originally recorded over the course of two studio sessions on February 20, 1967 (Delane Lea Studios) and April 3, 1967 (Olympic Studios), “I Don’t Live Today” debuted on The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s first album Are You Experienced in May 1967 (UK) and August 1967 (US).
The song was “dedicated to the American Indian and all minority depression groups,” explained Hendrix during a 1967 interview. This new music video is now featured on the Jimi Hendrix YouTube Channel.

Music has a unique ability to bring people together beyond language, background, or circumstance. One of our NYC establishments understands this very well: the @92ndStreetY . I look forward to performing there on July 25th, 2026.
