Six months after the killing of her son, Alex Pretti, his mother is sharing a heartbreaking message about the grief she says has only deepened with time.
In an emotional post marking the six-month anniversary of Alex’s death, she writes that no one has been held accountable and says her family has never received an apology or even a single phone call from government officials, hospital personnel, or the Minneapolis Police Department. At the same time, she expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support her family has received from people around the world, urging others to continue speaking out and never forget what Alex stood for.
Her full statement:
“Today marks the six-month anniversary of Alex’s murder. No-one has been held accountable, no apologies, not a single phone call from any governmental official, hospital personnel, or the Mpls police dept. Six-months of pain, a roller-coaster of trauma over and over. Every time another a death, another mention, a picture, a tribute, a sorrow so deep. I wonder how to move forward. Will I ever get over this loss and this pain? Will I ever be able to enjoy life again? How does one live knowing that I have no power to change what has happened?
And yet the out-reach not only from Minnesota, but from around the world has been nothing less than spectacular. Every card, every gift, every heartfelt letter has been read, touched, held, and cherished by us all. The kindness you’ve all shown us is beyond words. Please never forget Alex and what he believed in ~ equality and peace for all. I will remember the things that made you, you. It will never take your memory. As long as I’m here, you will never be forgotten.
For all you asking what you can do. Continue this fight. Never give up your right to speak out, protect your neighbor, your community and don’t forget to spend time with those you love…”
I've always been a workaholic. But I have never worked at the pace I do now. Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I haven't had a single day off. Some mornings I wake up feeling like I simply can't keep going. But somehow, I do. Honestly, I don't even know how.
I don't know how our Defenders endure it. I don't know how Ukrainians keep moving forward after daily Russian attacks and air raid alerts - how we keep working, living, and carrying on.
Alongside the work I do behind the scenes, I have also become a blogger - someone who speaks and writes about Ukraine and the Ukrainian experience every single day. I believe these daily posts are a weapon of their own. But they are also emotionally and intellectually exhausting, because every tragedy passes through me before and while I put it on social media.
Reading and listening are difficult experiences too. Some of you tell me in the comments that you read my posts every day. This shared experience is painful, as well. But it is also a source of support for all of us here. Because we are heard, and we have a voice. It gives us hope, and it is deeply human.
This might be a bit all over the place, but I just wanted to say thank you for reading and for supporting Ukraine.
Ossoff: "The price of admission to the president's service seems to be proof that you're willing to lie for him. Have you seen it? Maybe you saw Jay Clayton, the president's nominee to lead our intelligence services, refuse again and again while he was under oath to affirm Donald Trump's defeat in 2020, or Pete Hegseth before the Senate this week refusing to recant his lies about the war. There's something uniquely despicable about lying a nation into war, treating citizens as fools."
@TeslaDon23MYLR@MAGAVoice Fact-checkers and local election records show no evidence of a coordinated three-hour shutdown or pause across those 6 states. WND is a low-credibility, far-right website peddling conspiracy bullshit and misinformation. Do better. Basta
@TeslaDon23MYLR@MAGAVoice There was no “pausing the count” in any one of those 6 states, kimosabe. There were DELAYS in some states in announcing the results, depending on which were, or not, allowed to preprocess record numbers of mail-in ballots before Election Day.
Anytime you hear that clown in the White House complaining about voter fraud or rigged elections, just remember he's the one -- on tape!!! - asking Republican officials to "find 11,780 votes" in Georgia.
It's ridiculous and pathetic and the media should be reminding him of this every time he opens his stupid mouth to shout these asinine conspiracy theories.

Nearly five months since it launched its war of choice against Iran, the United States appears no closer to achieving a single meaningful objective than it was when an outmaneuvered President Trump signed what was effectively a strategic surrender on June 17. The on-again, off-again war is a complex story of global economic interdependence, maritime logistics, drone warfare ascendance, nuclear panic, and imperial arrogance. But it is also, increasingly and more consequentially, a story about how a single octogenarian narcissist would prefer to inflict catastrophic damage on the global economy and his own political party rather than concede that he was wrong. https://t.co/B6W9efcuNW
Judge Sullivan has given acting AG Todd Blanche 5 days to produce unredacted versions of some Epstein Files documents & proof that the reasons given for making the redactions were true. Here’s what’s significant about that: https://t.co/4wYIL0QX71

Nowoczesny e-handel wymaga ogromnego skupienia pracy manualnej.
Mark Kelly: “It’s really critical that Democrats win back the House and the Senate and put a check on a president who is so corrupt, there’s nothing to compare him to. He spends most of his time trying to figure out how to enrich himself, his family, and his friends. It is corruption we’ve never seen before”
Dear @USAmbUN Mike Waltz: You lie.
-US provided zero THAAD missiles to Ukraine.
-US provided far less Patriots to Ukraine than the massive amount used in less than 5 months of the Iran war.
Stop falsely blaming others and take responsibility for the disastrous Iran war.

“Russia will be forced to withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine, under Ukrainian military pressure, under pressure from internal Russian political processes, and under pressure from international diplomacy
Russia will be forced to make this withdrawal soon, otherwise it will quickly lead to the collapse of the Russian regime. It has no other solution"
......
Ukraine will prevail🫡
I never doubted 😉
