@Motley_Su@PunkRockStory While I love the Beasties, the top show that week was the Heartbreakers. That being said, no one ever thought that Hip Hop would become the music of the world.
@MikeElk That's right.....on the other hand, the Dem campaign broke a leg getting the Cheneys to endorse the ticket.......as if that was going to help. As a geezer who works in a unionized grocery store here in NJ, I can see the price gouging and union member support for Trump.
@HistoryLivesDet@tigers Once saw Gates smack a 3 run Homer in the 9th to tie the Yanks. Tigers lost in Xtra in but that Homer was one of the dramatic scenes in live baseball that has stayed with me.
Local 1262 UFCW members still don't have MLK day as a Holiday and that was signed into law reluctantly by Ronald Reagan---,and we don't have Juneteenth either! Let's go 1262! We can do this!
@CaliReformUFCW Sometimes I feel that our Union is an empty vessel ,a bell with no clapper, which only emits a sound, when it is struck from the exterior.
@CaliReformUFCW @reformufcw This is true but some locals tightly control who they let in to their "inner circle". That's including Stewards---my local constitutionally has the choice of either electing or appointing Stewards. Forming a caucus is a better option.
@reformufcw So here in NJ, most stores have two unions-Niccolai's 464 reps the perishables-meat,appy,prepared, while Whille's,1262,reps the rest of the store, including maintenance workers-3 different contracts in one store. Perishable,Grocery, maintenance should be 1 contract for all.
So no quotes from Local 1262 UFCW. This Union needs to take action. More jobs lost.
