This video shows the exact moment the Amazon Prime Air Boeing 767 freighter overran the end of the runway at Miami International Airport.

An EMAS (Engineered Materials Arresting System) could potentially have made a significant difference here. The parking lot lies approximately 2,000 feet beyond the runway end, and the aircraft still appeared to have considerable energy as it crossed the runway threshold at more than 100 knots.

RIP to those who lost their lives in this tragic accident.

Of course one can add something to each point — such as the plundering of our riches, Russia’s appropriation of our scholars and achievements, propaganda — but the truth does not change because of that. These are only factors that hinder us, which we must get rid of, not make peace with.
