He puts two groups of Black people side by side:
West Indians (think Colin Powell) who succeed at high rates… and Southern African Americans whose communities struggle with education, violence, and poverty.

Both groups endured slavery. Both face racism. So why the massive difference in outcomes?

Sowell’s answer: Southern Blacks were largely stripped of their original African culture and absorbed the culture of the white Southern “rednecks” around them — the same low-trust, low-education, high-violence patterns. Even African American Vernacular English carries features from the West of England.

Liberals hate this explanation. Sowell has never cared.

Muslim woman caught as an aggressor in a road rage incident tries to bully the cops saying the other driver is Islamophobic and that he tried to attack her because of her religion . What she doesn’t realize is that the whole incident was caught on camera.. She initiated the incident by throwing liquid on the other driver. She refused to give the police her information even going so far as to threaten the cops if they didn’t arrest the other driver. She was ultimately charged with aggravated assault as the cops were not going to allow her to manipulate them .
