#mufc’s ideal midfield targets are Elliot Anderson and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Anderson is expected to join Man City if a fee is agreed. City see a deal closer to £90m, while Forest value him at £125m [@MailSport]
🚨️ @lauriewhitwell on Manchester United’s focus this summer:
"Replacing Casemiro is the primary objective and we’ve seen all the names. They’re focusing their attention on midfield with 2 midfielders coming in, maybe a 3rd depending on who they’ll be able to bring in and that cost or if they can promote from within the academy or not."

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are due to hold FRESH talks with Elliot Anderson's camp - barring unforeseen problems, talks will take place via intermediaries this week.

🚨🗣️ Michael Carrick on Bryan Mbeumo:
"I just think he’s flexible, Bryan. You know, he can play different roles across the front, like to be honest like pretty much all the boys across the front can within reason play different kind of roles and be fluid and be flexible.
So yeah, listen for Bryan scoring he’s played big roles in terms of his discipline and his responsibility with the team with & without the ball and he’s got his rewards so yeah he’s doing great."
🚨🗣️ 🗣 @JacobsBen:
"Tuchel and De Zerbi, for me, are head coaches and not managers so they could fit within this Manchester United model.
The challenge is not so much the long term planning and how they fit in, they like the wider teams using data and sport science picking targets for the future. But the problems more arise when the manager wants to change course due to injuries or lack of form and firefighting which requires short term fixes.
I think United will want somebody quite fiery, passionate and confrontational but as ever these big models work when things are going right and when going wrong you see people's true colours and that's where Amorim and Wilcox fell out.
I don't think United will be put off by hiring a big personality as long as they feel they'll be okay with the head coach, not manager title."

If there was a nuclear war there would be 2 survivors,a cockroach AND FUKING DOGSHIT DALOT!!!! He’s survived about 7 managers now and been woeful under them all..he’s not even league one level #MUFC#dalot
Man for the job would be Tuchel, but #MUFC can’t afford to wait until after the World Cup. Maresca’s comments/departure at #CFC felt similar to Amorim, so wouldn’t feel comfortable with him. If INEOS are prepared to pay, they should go for one of Glasner, Emery or Iraola. All know the league. Don’t think the club should wait until the summer, especially while there’s still a fair chance of qualifying for Europe.
🚨🔵 Pep Guardiola says Rodri didn’t suffer any setback: “After what happened, previous ones with setbacks, we have to take more caution, be more safe to not do it again. It's simple, but it's not a step back”.
🚨 BREAKING:
Manuel Ugarte is under consideration for a recall against Liverpool, as he was involved in United’s first-team training session on Thursday, but Casemiro was not, as he was given an extra recovery day after traveling to South Korea and Japan on international duty with Brazil.

Sancho accepts straight loan with full pay to Aston Villa. Significant savings for United. Option to extend his contract for a year but I don’t really see the upside of doing so given the huge financial commitment. Likelier contract expires and Sancho leaves as an FA.
🚨🔵⚪️ Gigio Donnarumma now set to undergo his medical in Italy after deal done between all parties.
He will arrive in Manchester after the international break, but all done and sealed with #MCFC.
🚨 EXCL — Donnarumma’s agent Raiola: “Premier League is the right step for Gigio in my view, we’re working on it”.
“There are zero talks with Italian clubs. We are still shocked by PSG behaviour with Gigio”.
🔵👀 Manchester City, keen on Gigio.
