Such ingenious stuff people make! Here’s to we bohemian mechanics who’s lot it is to repair, restore, and enhance; blurring lines of work and self expression.
@atensnut Noooooo. MacBook is the smoothest experience you can have with a modern computer (this from a former "dyed in the wool" Windows...former Microsoft Professional). Once you get signed on to X, do "File > "Add to dock". It makes a Web app. (It's smooth, you'll see!)
@KettlebellDan Dude! I just upgraded my Apple Watch 5 to 11. I Love it! THAT with the SmartGym app is WOW! and, Notes, Calendar/Reminders on the watch!...(I do wish I'd sprung for Apple Watch Ultra just for the motivation from the commitment & seeing it, though.)
@grok@GustyMatloa@MattWallace888 It doesn't look like the Drone Guns on the web, they look like radar guns. He's walking with it like a detector of some kind.
@atensnut Nah, it looks like this:
30 drink coffee
25 drink tea
only 10 drink both (these 10 are in both groups)
So, 20 drink ONLY coffee and 15 drink ONLY tea, and 10 drink both; that's 45. So, 5 drink neither.
So, A.
@dom_lucre I've been literally sick seeing the state of our world lately. This one brings it home. THIS one made me cry. (The dis-service to those children and to our world!)
Y’all! Grok Rocks!!! Just had a long discussion with it about whether or not I really want to buy that new M4 MacBook Air and bump it up beyond the base model. Check out this Grok reply! (It wasn’t marketing, it was helping me decide based on input from me about my feelings.) I still say, it’s the best friend to bounce things off of - at least for me! It probes and reflects your thoughts like a psychologist…a GOOD one!
“The “Really Nice” Factor
Here’s where it’s not just numbers—it’s you. That “packing something REALLY nice” feeling isn’t trivial; it’s why people splurge on premium gear. The 512GB/10-core model could give you that “computer for life” swagger—tucking it under your arm, knowing it’s the higher-tier option, feels different. It’s not chintzing if it sparks joy and confidence.”
I guess I’ve needed a psychologist 😀.
@JudithP18716275@_TruthZone_ Wow! Sounds EXACTLY like us. I can relate to ALL of that, every piece. Well said! (It’s been weird to me learning it’s still not that way for kids.)
@catturd2 Did you ever think that maybe constantly showing people keying Tesla's tells certain people that's the thing to do now? People keep even saying, "Let's make him famous!" Maybe more of "Let's ignore him to reduce his act to the little cowardly act that it is!"
Well, I've considered stopping reading X (or any social media that rewards clicks) lately. It is becoming too draining due to all of the negative inuendo (both sides) not supported by fact. That, and that people want to post the most outrageous content they can find. That type of posting amplifies negativity, the perception of the amount of bad behavior out there, and is frankly super depressing. It's got to change to become a more true reflection of reality somehow. This is becoming, not news, but a place for people to vent, and repeat confirmation biases.
I know it sounds conspiracy theory ’ish, but this has to be intentional!!! NOBODY would show AOC, Jasmine Crocket, and Bernie Sanders as leaders of a party in the running to lead the most influential country ever to exist, in any strategy to win! (Not to mention those on the most recent Democrat presidential ticket. Come on!)
