5. Black people absolutely have the right to be upset by hearing that word. It is filled with historical trauma and abuse. It is, however, possible to be simultaneously upset by the word, and accepting of symptoms of disabilities that are, at times, socially uncomfortable.
1. A thread from a disability rights lense. There is much debate over whether John should apologose for his tic at the BAFTAs which caused him to say the N-word. Ordinarily, the use of this word by a white person is abhorrent, a hate crime, and needs an apology at the very least.
4. But if we only accept disability symptoms that are palatable, then it creates a situation of only being accepting of disabled people if they have the right kind of disability.
Dear ladies never forget that: The same world that shames me for being a single mother also shames you for not being a mother and shames another woman for having too many children..lt shames one woman for having a child at the age of 19 because she's too young but also shames another for having at 36 because she's too old..lt shames a woman who marries young as well as the one who marries old..It shames women who don't have beautiful bodies and shames those who go under the knife to get the bodies. This world shames all women, not a single one of us is spared, not a single one. So love and make yourselves happy.
@PanickedFoodie Have you heard of sacral neuromodulation? My urodynamics showed the same and I couldn't get on with self-cath. I had the device implanted, and it works like a pacemaker for my bladder and helps with the retention. Definitely look into it if you can!
I'm walking 100 miles in October to raise money for @BreastCancerNow in honor of my wonderful mum who currently has breast cancer. Please donate if you can following the link to the Facebook fundraiser below. https://t.co/2aNAfzbUI7
There’s really only ever been one “trans debate” I’ve thought was worth having.
And it’s been done, here on French TV.
So we can all move on with our lives now please, and leave trans folks in peace.
@DrLizJenkinson @futureDrPayne @UWEHealthPsy @KyleMcG95 @Vrogers0709@ecswaite@danielle14959@b_prospects I also recommend thinking about how you'll achieve each competency, and identify any gaps you may need support with regarding the competencies. Also think about what area you'd like to do for your SR and Research project. Good luck 💕
