@ceeayy@joe57167131@ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes Hell if you get into a street fight and kill someone it’s at least manslaughter to second degree depending on intent. Every situation is different, and since a weapon was already involved it does change the gravity of the altercation.
@ceeayy@joe57167131@ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes This is definitely where things get iffy in my opinion. I believe it was self defense because they were physically aggressive first, but he voluntarily went to a location armed knowing this was a possible outcome. I feel there should be some accountability.
@ceeayy@joe57167131@ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes I 100% agree with the part about bringing a gun if you feel like you need it, you shouldn’t go to where you were planning. Kyle was not required to go to a spot of potential riots and open carry a rifle, he should have stayed home.
@sithlordfaust@ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes Just went into it a bit deeper, I guess legally he was allowed to have it in possession and open carry, which is a bit weird to me personally since he is under the age to purchase it in Wisconsin. But legally it stands somehow, doesn’t make sense to me but it did in court
@ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes He wasn’t going to give him a hug dude. He was trying to steal the rifle, and I’m sure it wasn’t to just keep it away from him. Even if it was; that is literally the stupidest thing you could do. Literally asking to get shot
@sorandomthough @ghostofthebib@sean_parkhurst@nytimes None of them should have been at the riot Kyle certainly should have realized it was a bad idea to open carry a rifle but he did, Kyle put himself in potential danger and acted in self defense, if you put yourself in a position where you can be attacked though how much is on you
@ZynjoTech @TigersG2@Sandrinetrad75@SFGate Military base operations, for example ship yards. Lots of civilian jobs you can get isn’t as an apprentice and make okay money, my friends who came out of high school made about $20hr at 19, also good benefits. And OT is time and a half, and sometimes you get to work 60-70hrs.
@TigersG2@Sandrinetrad75@SFGate They pay pretty well. If you wanna make big money with minimal schooling either learn a trade or government job, but I hear mixed things about Amazon. Some don’t mind it some like it some hate it, like literally every job
@proconmedia@amoneywilson@Fabi_Leonardo@disclosetv It does change things. It’s an interesting case, if you can and do put yourself into position where you may need to protect yourself is it still self defense? I genuinely don’t know, you can argue with either side but I think you shouldn’t put yourself in those positions
@amoneywilson@proconmedia@Fabi_Leonardo@disclosetv I think Kyle is in the wrong, but he’s far from active shooter and those people were not going to simply disarm him. Legally he didn’t do anything bad just put himself in a bad situation for no reason.
@proconmedia@amoneywilson@Fabi_Leonardo@disclosetv Kyle shouldn’t have been there, it was stupid for him to put himself into danger. But he did it, and from the video and the prosecutors witnesses SO far it seems to be self defense. Still an active case though and things change and new evidence comes out
@proconmedia@amoneywilson@Fabi_Leonardo@disclosetv 3) guy attacked with a skateboard, which was just stupid at this point. He wasn’t an active shooter he only shot someone who has tried to take his weapon
4) last guy pulled a gun out and got shot. That one is straight up self defense, you pull a concealed weapon out it’s to shoot
