I was using Twitter for all the wrong reasons. Rather than getting affected by nonsense people doing digital streetfighting, I now look for handles that tell me something new every day. Scientists. Doers on the ground. Artistes. Dreamers. I listen more and talk less. Try it.
Today at the age of 54, if someone asked me what's financial freedom, I'd say take a step back, what is freedom?
It's being healthy and rich (in that order) enough to say, I'm taking July to Oct off this year to spend time in US and Europe. There I shall watch World Cup Football, Wimbledon, The British Open, maybe a few PL matches (Go Gunners or Man U), a few F1 races (Paddock Club only), The Odyssey on a proper IMAX 70mm screen. This is bare minimum. I already missed solstice at Stonehenge. Maybe I'll catch Manhattanhenge.
Yeah that sounds good. I figure I'd need oh about Rs1,739cr bank balance for that. And be very healthy too. Need to enjoy the long haul flights in first class.
That's freedom. And only money can bring that home. Till then there's always OTT and Twitter.
I think it has been exactly a year and a half since I was last able to speak to my mother. In this time period, every single meal I've eaten has each and every time reminded me that its not been cooked by her. Its a lot.
