A local service business hired my company BoldSEO in May of 2023.
Here’s where they started:
Their domain reputation was 0 and they were getting about 500 visitors a month.
16 months and 112 links placed later, here’s where they are today:
Bold was able to drive millions of impressions and visitors to their website.
Their domain reputation is now 18 (up from zero)
Their referring domains are at 176 (we increased it by 144!)
Their organic traffic is now ~20K/month (a 3900% increase)
These results are MASSIVE.
If you want to work with BoldSEO to do the same for your business, just DM me and I will make an intro.

Managing a website is a pain for small businesses.
- hosting
- malware
- debugging
- dev hours / improvements
- indexing / optimizing
- buying / maintaining plugins
Has taken me 100s of hours to learn about this stuff.
All you need to be successful with SEO:
1. Computer
2. Internet
3. Action-orienteted mindset
4. Willingness to learn
5. Unemotional behavior when things get volatile
6. Backlinks
SEO for local businesses is simple:
- service and location pages
- directory and guest post links
- 4K words of blog content monthly
- Google business profile
…and that’s it.
Consistency is the secret.
SEO is compound interest for your website.
Slowly build content and links and overtime your traffic will grow.
Incremental improvements quickly become an exponential growth.
SEO can quickly become complex.
But keeping it simple is the way to win.
- 5k words of content
- 3-10 backlinks for authority
- location pages for services areas
- technical audit for fast site
- on-page to get the right keywords
It’s all about consistent execution.
Great SEO builds equity into your online presence.
High converting web traffic is a legitimate asset for your company that helps you get customers for less.
@xprqq Nope, they need to be standalone pages that you submit to Google for indexing.
Have links to them from:
1. Any content you produce that are related to that specific area.
2. Your contact page which has information about your business' locations
If you're a local service business, you should be using this SEO tactic:
📍 Service area landing pages
Create a page for every town that you service:
/service-area/san-carlos-ca or...
/location/san-carlos-ca
On there, include:
- Town/city name in the H1
- Your Business Location
- Phone
- Email
- Your services
- Lead form
Bonus points:
- Add info that is relevant to the specific town.
Do this for any town you service with a population > 15 000 people.
Chances are there at least 10-20 searches per month for your service with the location keyword in it.
Why bother?
- Low enough competition that your competitors probably won't
- High search intent (much more likely to convert into a customer)
- Easy to do with template-based landing pages (this is basically programmatic SEO).
