$OPAL started as an AI gaming agent for the Pumpfun Hackathon, one that could learn and play alongside you, before smartly pivoting to in-game behavioral data collection.

They won $250k (for 2.5% of token supply) as one of 12 teams in Pumpfuns hackathon, with Tim Draper calling Opal his favourite project of the bunch.

Since then, Opal has been building out a full system that captures users gameplay and pays them in SOL/USDC for their behavioural data.

They have been networking hard since and most recently had meetings at the offices of Floodgate Fund (VC) and a16z.

They also recently won 2 prizes at the Caltech hackathon (Best use of Solana & the grand prize for spatial intelligence).

Their latest consumer app turns RLHF into a fun, cash-incentivized experience (SOL/USDC payouts), backed by the Solana Foundation as ‘the largest AI-gaming raffle layer on chain.’

High-quality data + addictive gamified incentives = a real flywheel.

Support from the Pumpfun team and Solana Foundation gives them a solid chance of effective distribution and promotion.
