🛡️ ‘We must move beyond short-term planning… and better coordinate across statutory, voluntary & community sectors — with prevention as the long-term goal.’ We couldn't agree more Colm.

So many invaluable insights shared at our #EverydayHeroes conference! Colm McCafferty (@SouthernHSCT) urged action on early intervention:
📊 ‘We need to shift the dial from reactionary services to early intervention. There’s a crystal-clear evidence base for that.’
We are over the moon that Dr. Bonnar was recognised through a public nomination process for being an outstanding “Healthcare hero”. Dr.Bonnar has supported community interventions in health for over 40 years - a true legend & unsung hero 👏
🎉Congratulations to Dr Mary Bonnar from Marina Surgery, Newry & District GP Federation, on winning the ‘Healthcare Hero’ Award at the recent Bolster Community Everyday Heroes Conference! 👏✨

As part of our second interim evaluation report of the Dormant Assets NI Phase 1 Grant Programme, which was commissioned by the National Lottery Community Fund (@TNLComFund), a series of case studies on grant holders have been created to explore the impact and outcomes of the support.
For example, @BolsterCom is a charity and social enterprise based in #Newry and #Kilkeel, which secured £100,000 funding from the programme to diversify their income streams and strengthen their expertise in business development and marketing.
In the case study, staff at Bolster Community reveal how the opportunity to focus on sustainability and longer-term growth as a result of the Dormant Assets funding has had a transformational impact on their organisation. Indeed, generated income now accounts for over half of the organisation’s overall income, while previously this had been around 30%.
