If those fuel prices keep going up, that increases my temptation to buy a Tesla next. And many of these legitimately look easier to get than the trucks I've already listed that I'd buy.
@Alumiduty Yes. Definitely too far back. This is obstructing about 3/4 of the walkway, and talk about the pain of accidentally hitting a trailer hitch with your knee.
No surprise to me that this is the result. So let's replace the 600w-rated connector that often melts with less, with 150w connectors that are way overbuilt.
The 8-pin PCIe connectors may be rated for 150w, but they're good for somewhere around 400W each.

The TecLab team modified a GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card by replacing the fragile 12VHPWR connector with classic eight-pin cables soldered directly to the board.
During heavy overclocking tests, the graphics card handled extreme loads of up to 1063 W using only two eight-pin cables. The connector temperature stayed below 48Β°C, proving massive electrical headroom.
The factory 12VHPWR connector is limited to 600 W and often melts due to poor design. Using standard eight-pin power connectors completely eliminates overheating and burning issues.

@madness727 If the GPU is not held incredibly well in place or weighs next to nothing, a computer should not be shipped with it installed. Same goes for oversized air coolers.
With this wire run, no more codes. And it charges immediately on startup now.
Nothing like a hair wash using Dawn after doing something like this. This floor still isn't as clean as I'd like it to be.
Ford alternators have a bypass mode that activates if it gets no field control signal. That's what is happening here.
Somewhere between the 12-pin connector near right battery and this alternator 3 pin, the gencmd wire has a break, and the harness is tucked away in tight spots.
To fix the circuit, I am going to bypass it with another wire. The other move is to tear a lot of the engine apart.
I'm going to crawl under to do some routing. No 4 post lift open, and this can't safely be lifted with a 2 post lift. It's only Ford. Not GM, not Ram.
Fixed 3 wires, but still a lot of green corrosion on spades inside the fuseblock. Now it starts as it should. No longer a code for reductant heater.
It charges now, but still has a code for charging circuit. May or may not look at that issue.
A shop rule here is we don't work on diesels. Well, this one has an electrical problem to the lift pump relay, and looks like it's been sitting with the engine exposed to the elements.
Bypass this relay, it starts and runs. The problem is below this fuse box in the engine bay.
Green corrosion in wires below the fusebox. In a 2016 Ford. And the engine bay fusebox is integrated into the wiring harness. And this took out a few wires. I wonder if this is also the reason it's not chargging.
I have no such rule. My only rules are I don't work for anyone who is in my business blacklist.
And with this said, my diagnosis has resulted in a thermostat replacement being sold on an LML. The shop tends to give me the diesel jobs, as I don't generally care.
Re-evaluation coming September 23. But as soon as it's this day, need to get the bearings, seals, crush sleeve, pinion nut, sealer, and oil needed to rebuild the rear axle in the Dakota. I want to sell the truck, but it's not time yet. And it's getting louder.
I would have liked to do something nice today. I could have. The finances were good enough for it.
Problem is I'm still in disaster prevention mode. Conditions not met to leave it.
Left me here with not much to do, since it's Labor day and workshop is closed.
@satishsanthanam@codek_tv Y+2=Y
To solve for a variable, we need a Y=X format.
Y+2(-Y)=Y(-Y)
2=0
No Y remains, so no finite number will solve this.
According to IEEE 754 standards, β + any finite number = β. Or (-β) + any finite number = (-β).
By this logic, both β and -β will solve the original.
